About Jane:

Jane is based in Bradford-on-Avon where she also runs her own successful gallery – Bay Tree Gallery. 

 

Jane’s work is made for fun. The works are thrown and altered stoneware that are sprayed or painted with brightly coloured and/or bronze glazes and fired in oxidation to 1260 degrees. 

 

Jane likes to travel and has travelled widely. Where she goes informs her practice, mostly sub-consciously. When the work is completed she is able to show how these influences have taken effect.

 

Jane does not work to a preconceived idea and an element of fantasy often intrudes. The work evolves as it happens. Jane's reputation as a ceramicist has grown.
