Jean Deval's Work
"After the Eclipse"
Jean's paintings are abstract, each work with multiple layers of paper and paint, overlaid with mixed media. Her work varies in size from 25cm to 100cm square.
The square format represents for her the true shape of abstraction. She works on many projects at a time, deliberately creating chaos while looking for that perfect nugget to develop.
Jean spent 25 years abroad but has lived in Devon for the last eight years.
